What We Believe

At Resurrection Baptist Church of Kissimmee, we joyfully affirm the truths of the Christian faith. We are part of the Southern Baptist Convention. We are a family of believers in Kissimmee, Florida, united by our love for Jesus Christ and our desire to make His name known in our community and throughout the world.

All about the Lord

God

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit; each one full and equally divine. He is the Creator, Sustainer and Sovereign of all things.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried and resurrected on the third day. Through his death and resurrection, we receive forgiveness, new life, and eternal hope.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, enabling us to live faithfully, guiding us to truth, and producing spiritual growth and fruit in our lives.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is a free gift from God that cannot be earned by works, but must be received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

The Church

We believe the local church is a body of baptized believers, united by faith and love, committed to worshipping God, growing in His Word, serving others, and sharing the gospel. As part of the Southern Baptist Convention, we joyfully cooperate with other churches to take the good news of Jesus to Kissimmee, all of Florida, and the entire world.

Baptism and the Lord's Supper

We believe that baptism by immersion is a public testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and an act of obedience after salvation.

The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of remembrance, celebrating Christ's sacrifice and proclaiming His return.

Our Mission

We believe God has called us to live on mission every day, sharing the love, truth, and hope of Jesus Christ in our families, neighborhoods, and nations.

Our desire is to see lives transformed, communities restored, and God glorified in everything we do.

We are committed to taking God’s Word to all nations and making disciples of Jesus Christ, just as He commanded us in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19–20).
